Kara Zor-El joins her cousin, Superman, on Earth. Her goal… to make the world a better place. DC Comics hits another home run with this lovable superhero. An interesting twist in her familial story is that Supergirl is actually older than Superman. She was a teenager when he was born. She was sent to Earth by her parents in a similar fashion to Superman. But her rocket was caught in a meteor storm and she arrived on earth years after her younger cousin.

This great story was recreated by CBS as a riveting television series. It first aired in Oct of 2015 and it’s on its third season. Though they took some liberty to change some of the details of Supergirls story, it’s a great action series full of likeable characters, love interest and lots of super heroism. Hopefully the show will live a long life.
